Mission Statement

To serve as an ambassador to the FBI in order to strengthen relationships, and improve the understanding between the FBI and the communities it serves.

Vision

To be the premier community support organization for the FBI in Portland.


The FBI Portland Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBI Portland CAAA) is a network of graduates of the FBI Citizens Academy from community-based organizations. The FBI Portland CAAA is a nonprofit organization separate and apart from the FBI, with the following mission:

To promote a safer community through community service projects and a process of educating business, labor, media, medical, minority, religious, government, senior citizens, and other community leaders about law enforcement, with particular emphasis on the mission, resources, and limitations of the FBI.

Working with key staff and volunteer leaders of FBI Citizens Academy Alumni organizations - it's primary constituency - the FBI Portland CAAA's goals include:

(a) Providing the FBI Portland Citizens Academy Alumni with opportunities to network, keep in touch with one another and the FBI after they graduate through participation in special events, presentations, community outreach, continued training opportunities and social gatherings;

(b) Assisting to provide the FBI Citizens Academy classes and alumni development efforts with resources, training, information and technical assistance as needed supporting the use of best practices;

(c) Promoting the importance of the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association members as community ambassadors educating local communities in Portland about federal law enforcement issues and challenges;

(d) Provide the Portland FBI Field Offices with volunteer/non-financial support in community outreach programs.
